INTRODUCING THE NEOBOTTLE
A paradigm shift in breast milk management. The NeoBottle combines collection, storage, fortification and delivery of fresh human breast milk (HBM) or enteral/oral liquids through a single device. The NeoBottle is the first container to allow for "unit dosing" without a breach of the closed system barrier.
Through the use of the NeoBottle, significant patient care cost savings are achieved from reduced risk of feeding intolerances and gut disease as a result of administering fresh (not thawed) human breast milk (HBM). Fresh HBM costs less to administer when considering the nursing time and material expense of freezing them.
The American Dietetic Association states:
“ Fresh milk that is unit-dosed at time of expression may be held at refrigerated temperatures for up to 96 hours if expressed under clean conditions and the container is not entered prior to infant feeding. This is particularly important for small volume, fresh milk feedings for ill or preterm high-risk infants.” 1 The NeoBottle is uniquely designed to comply with this ADA recommendation.
